Who can participate in the competition?
The 3 and 4-year Bachelor’s and 1 and 2-year Master's degree students of Technical Universities.
How the scholarship program winners will be decided:
The winners of the competition will be decided based on results of the following 3 stages:
Stage 1. Online registration (September 15 - October 15)
Students can register on this link. In addition to registration, we request that the students send a video to get more complete information and an idea about you to the Admission Committee through https://t.me/uzgtl_scholarship_bot telegram bot address.
Stage 2. A Test or written exam (October 20 - November 15)
Students selected through online questionnaires and videos received at the first stage, are invited to take an examination in the form of a written paper or test comprising questions on their specialization and English tasks.
Venue: higher educational institutions of Karshi, Bukhara and Tashkent.
Stage 3. Interview (November 20 - December 15)
Students who have achieved high results at the second stage participate in an interview, which allows to more thoroughly assess knowledge of the students in their specialty, and their personal qualities.
Venue: higher educational institutions of Karshi, Bukhara and Tashkent.
Detailed information about each stage of the competition (the list of students who passed to the next stage, the date, place and time of the exam) will be published on the official website of the Company and on its pages in social networks.
The awards ceremony for students-winners of the scholarship program will take place in December.
The winners of the scholarship program will receive a monthly scholarship of 1 million UZS during 1 year, and after graduating from the University they will be provided with a permanent job. The winners will also have the opportunity to take an extended production and pre-graduation internship at Uzbekistan GTL Plant. Transport, accommodation and meals expenses during the internship will be covered by the Company.
To recap, the Uzbekistan GTL scholarship program was first established in 2019-2020 academic year. In 2019-2020 academic year, the program participants numbered 800 students, in 2020-2021 - 1200, and in 2021-2022 - 1700 students. About 50 talented students were recognized as winners and active participants in these competitions.
The top five scholarship holders are students of Karshi Engineering and Economics Institute, Tashkent branch of Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin, Tashkent State Technical University, Bukhara Engineering and Technology Institute and National University of Uzbekistan.
