Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dd. June 23, 2021 No. PP-5188 on  establishing   New Uzbekistan University, provides for familiarization of students with operation of modern and promising enterprises, and ensuring their practical laboratory and qualification practices at plants.

In order to implement this Decree, on February 17, 2022 Mehriddin Abdullaev, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, and Khilola Umarova, Director of the Agency for Presidential Educational Institutions, signed a Memorandum of Understanding at  Uzbekistan GTL Plant.

The Memorandum signed between the Agency and Uzbekneftegaz JSC aims to  improve  quality of education in the oil and gas sector, enhance comprehensive cooperation, exchange theoretical and practical knowledge and  experience, upgrade qualifications of specialists and teaching staff.

The Memorandum gives a primary consideration to strengthening and development of cooperation in the field of harmonization of theoretical and practical knowledge, joint training of qualified personnel for oil and gas industry, by establishing mutual cooperation between the parties.

Under the guidance of the Director of the Agency of Presidential Educational Institutions, senior officials of the Agency, Elyor Djumayev, the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of New Uzbekistan University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, academic teaching staff and students got acquainted with activities of Uzbekistan GTL Plant, which is a part of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, and the complete process from extraction to processing of natural gas in Kashkadarya Region.

The purpose of the visit is to arrange practical training of university students in relevant areas of Bachelor's programme, as well as internships in government agencies, state enterprises and leading research institutions.

The Memorandum also provides for organization of laboratory sessions on specialized subjects at enterprises controlled by Uzbekneftegaz JSC, in order to ensure education and industry integration.  The Memorandum will enable employment of graduates, implementation of joint research projects, arranging short-term training courses and conferences.

In addition, the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC said that the Company would provide special premises for New Uzbekistan University in administration building of Uzbekistan GTL Plant, create conditions for students to undergo their internships, and designate a laboratory with modern equipment.
