He was appointed General Director of Uzbekistan GTL in February 2017. Prior to his appointment, from 2008 to 2017, he was Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Uz-Kor Gas Chemical joint venture. Under the leadership of F. R. Abdurasulov, the Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex, the largest and now the leading producer of polymer products in Central Asia, was put into operation ahead of schedule. In the period from 2000 to 2008, he worked as a machinist, operator, shift engineer, process engineer and head of production dispatcher service of Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex (SGCC). He extensively participated in commissioning of SGCC.
