Research shows the use of GTL jet fuel reduces harmful air emissions by over 86 per cent, and increases jet engine efficiency by 53 per cent.
GTL jet fuel will make Uzbekistan one of the few producers of the most advanced aviation fuel in the world. Synthetic fuel is a feature of aviation, but GTL jet fuel has the potential to surpass anything achieved to date in terms of performance and air emissions. Thus, aviation is one of the high-value and sustainable global markets for GTL products.
It is a blending component with traditional (petroleum) kerosene in a proportion of up to 50% for production of jet fuel.
