DELEGATION OF SIBUR HOLDING VISITED THE GTL PLANT IN KASHKADARYA REGION

On October 20, 2021, a delegation headed by Dmitry Konov, Chairman of the Management Board of SIBUR HOLDING PJSC, accompanied by Alisher Sultanov, Energy Minister, and Mehriddin Abdullaev Chairman of the Board of the Uzbekneftegaz JSC visited the GTL Plant in Kashkadarya Region.

The visit was organized as part of the official visit of SIBUR HOLDING PJSC’s delegation to Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the largest investment project being implemented in the region, as well as the status of pre-commissioning and commissioning works at the GTL Plant.

The delegation also visited   the Plant's central control panel and central laboratory, which at present are among the most modern and innovative in the CIS. In addition, the delegation members acquainted with the process units and production processes of the GTL Plant.

SIBUR HOLDING PJSC is Russia’s largest integrated petrochemical company and one of the most dynamically developing companies in the global petrochemical industry. In 2020 SIBUR reported revenue of USD 7.2 billion. Over the past 10 years, SIBUR has implemented a number of large-scale investment projects.

Delegation of SIBUR Holding PJSC expressed interest in the ongoing structural transformations in deep processing of hydrocarbon raw materials and growth rate of petrochemistry in Uzbekistan.

To date, the key construction and installation works have already been completed at the GTL Plant, with pre-commissioning and commissioning works being performed at a rapid rate. Implementation of the over USD 3.4 billion-worth largest investment project reached a 97% completion progress.

Once commissioned, the GTL Plant will produce over 1.5 million tons of high-quality, eco-friendly petroleum products, such as diesel, kerosene, naphtha and liquefied gas which meet high international standards.
